Founded in 2003, the Law Office of Mary-Alice Coleman emphasizes prosecution of employment matters on behalf of private and public sector employees seeking redress for unlawful and improper conduct in their workplaces. The firm’s attorneys boast a broad range of experience, representing clients in general litigation matters including personal injury, business disputes, real estate disputes, and defending professional licenses in disciplinary matters. We offer efficient and aggressive representation with a small-firm team approach tailored to the unique needs of our individual clients.

The firm’s attorneys are committed to delivering sophisticated legal expertise and discovering solutions that meet each client’s individual needs. Every member of the firm is committed to these goals and adheres to the firm’s core values of client service, hard work, and integrity.
Mary-Alice Coleman received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis, School of Law in 1980. She also is an honors graduate with bachelor of arts and Master of Public Administration degrees from California State University, Chico. After practicing law in the public sector for over 20 years, Mary-Alice founded the Law Office of Mary-Alice Coleman in 2003.

The Law Office of Mary-Alice Coleman was founded to represent folks with problems arising from their workplaces. Having been a whistleblower herself, Mary-Alice knows that employees facing workplace problems with their employers need strong, professional legal representation. It is this basic commitment to the needs and rights of employees that is the guiding principle of the firm.  The Law Office of Mary-Alice Coleman is built on the premise that no matter your title or classification, as an employee you need to level the playing field. The attorneys and staff all share in this commitment to our clients legal needs.

The legal staff enjoys working collaboratively to ensure the best results possible for our clients. Each person on our team brings unique qualifications and experience to the table. This collaborative approach provides the basis for successful results.

We don’t take every case. Mary-Alice Coleman has found that sometimes clients issues can be resolved informally and quickly. Other times, however, it is necessary to bring on the full complement of our legal team to secure the results our clients deserve.  We have a team of experienced lawyers who can, and will, fully litigate cases that cannot otherwise be appropriately resolved.

If you need assistance evaluating your employment situation, give us a call to ensure that the pros and cons of all issues are examined before we take action. After a short interview, we can schedule an appointment for you to meet with Mary-Alice for a personal consultation.

The Law office of Mary-Alice Coleman is located in the beautiful city of Davis, California
